Core facility management survey now open

iLab Solutions has opened its Sixth Annual Core Facility Management Benchmarking Study. Building off the previous years’ studies, the survey gathers data focusing on 2015’s trends in core facility management. Being open to managers and directors of all core types, the study continues to provide an insight into the growth, changes, and challenges within the research shared resource community.

"Every year we hear from so many that they use the results to better understand what others are doing in the industry," says Heather Lorenz, iLab VP Business Development. "More specifically, core facility managers and directors have expressed excitement that this is a good way to engage and garner support from their administration."

Over 260 managers and directors of core facilities completed last year’s survey. Responses came from over 50 core facility types and 160 research institutions across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. For this year's study, iLab expects to continue the trend of growth in global participation.

Lorenz continues, "This year we have added more questions around collaboration, administration, and receiving payments. Not only are we excited to see the continued trends from distributing this survey for the sixth year in a row, but we are also looking forward to disseminating even more exciting information relevant to the core facility community."

To continually provide a wide range of data, all personnel who directly oversee core facilities are strongly encouraged to participate again this year.

To participate in the 2016 Core Facility Management Benchmarking Study, core facility, recharge centre, and shared resource managers and directors are asked to go to the following link: http://www.ilabsolutions.com/benchmarking-study/

The results of the study will be published on iLab’s website later this year.
