Minimising product loss in fresh cut applications

Product adhesion leading to product loss has long been an issue in fresh cut industry conveyance applications. Ineffective dewatering of fresh cut product can be a contributing factor to product adhesion. In response to this problem, the Mesh Nub Top belt was developed by Intralox, LLC. to increase product drainage and minimise the risk of product loss.

Designed with nubs, the surface of the Mesh Nub Top belt provides a lifting effect, reducing the product contact area of the belt surface. The lifting effect improves product release, reducing product damage or loss and increasing throughput. In addition, the belt is designed with a small pitch, which enables for tight transfers.

With fully sculpted and radius corners, there are no pockets or sharp corners to catch and hold debris, further minimising the risk of product loss. To enable efficient product drainage, the drive bar on the underside of the belt channels water and debris to the edge for easier, faster clean-up.

Intralox invests in people as well as in technology. The highly-trained team of Intralox sanitation specialists serves as a dedicated resource to customers, continually testing products in both the lab and the field to discover best practices for food safety.
