Satiety and weight management with a standardised potato extract

Slendesta Potato Extract is a patented, natural, satiety ingredient derived from white potatoes, scientifically and clinically proven to be effective and safe, that has been introduced in the market to support the industry to create products specifically designed to increase satiety.

This potato extract is standardised to potato proteinase inhibitors 2 (PI2), a naturally occurring protein commonly found in tomatoes and potatoes and other plants, that has been shown to increase in the release of CCK, the natural satiety factor and reduce food intake.

Clinical trials have demonstrated that 300mg of standardised potato extract, taken one hour before the meal, increase of CCK release compared to placebo, increase fullness, decrease of hunger, desire to eat and prospective food consumption and are effective in helping people loose or maintain weight.

Consumers on a weight management program benefit by feeling more satisfied and less hungry while dieting.

The fact that the effective dose of this satiety ingredient is small and that the product is provided in three different convenient delivery forms, including a water dispersable form, facilitates its use as a stand alone product or in a blend with other ingredients in food supplements and conventional food and beverages.
